Sleep safe and sound with our non-toxic bedding!

We proudly advertise that the materials used for our duvet cover sets and throws are OEKO-TEXⓇ certified! Whilst this is something we’re super proud of, we realise that not everyone knows what that means. So, we won’t bore you too much with all the details, but we thought we’d go over some of the key reasons why OEKO-TEXⓇ certification is something we should shout from the rooftops.

What is OEKO-TEXⓇ?

OEKO-TEXⓇ is the global organisation that is dedicated to testing materials for nasty chemicals, dyes and bleaches. They even approve buttons, zippers, lining, fabric coatings, the whole lot – no thread goes untested. They check that the item is free from chemicals such as formaldehyde, which is often found in glue or alkylphenols that is sometimes used in the dyeing process. Having formaldehyde so near to the skin can cause allergic reactions such as itchy eyes, headaches and wheezing. It’s safe to say that it’s definitely not worth taking the risk!

What is OEKO-TEX Standard-100?

Whenever you see this logo it means that the material has gone through rigorous and strict testing to check that the fabric is completely free of any harmful chemicals. Regardless of where the materials are made or where the products come from, the same strict testing applies to all materials.

We proudly display this logo on our packaging to let everyone know they can shop with confidence at Happy Linen. Whenever you shop elsewhere for your kids, keep an eye out for this logo on either a label or the packaging! You’d be surprised by how many manufacturers aren’t OEKO-TEXⓇ certified.

So in a nutshell, we’ve made sure that we’re only selling bedding that is 100% safe for you and the family to use. Meaning you can sit back and relax, whilst your little one’s are soundly asleep in their comfy beds.

(If only it was that easy putting the kids to sleep, but it’s the thought that counts)
