We raised over £20,000 for Charity

Since the day we started, we have made a conscious effort to give back  by donating 25p for every item sold. We’ve always been so proud to do this and we can really see the impact it’s making. And of course it would not be possible without your support. We thought we’d take a trip down memory lane to show you all where that 25p is going.

Unique Charity

We started the year by donating funds to Unique (registration no.1110661). Their mission is to inform, support and alleviate the isolation of anyone affected by a rare chromosome disorder, copy variant or single gene disorder associated with disability/developmental delay and to raise public awareness.

Donations can help families like Martina and her daughter Lucy.

“Our oldest daughter Lucy was diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder at around 16 weeks old. Her disorder is so rare it has no name, just 10q26 Deletion 2q Trisomy. There was very little information on this diagnosis. Thankfully, with the huge support from Unique, we have connected with families and new guides have been created to help us understand what the future may hold. They are a fabulous charity and a huge support to not only Lucy but to all of us as a family!”  – Martina

Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Fund

We have proudly donated over £2,800 and hundreds of bed sets to the Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Fund. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity

One of our proudest moments this past year is partnering up with Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity. From October 1st – Dec 31st we’ve donated 100% of our Giving Back proceeds. The funds raised for this charity help enhance services provided to young patients like Emma. Emma was born with Taulipes, a condition where the foot is twisted. 11 years on RMCH Charity still continue to support Emma and her family throughout numerous surgeries and visits to the hospital. As part of our partnership with Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital we sponsored our first event; Manchester Foundation Trust Charity’s Lantern Walk. 600 people took part raising over £26,000 for Manchester Foundation Trust’s family of 10 hospitals. The fantastic event was held at the stunning Heaton Park in Manchester – it’s definitely an evening to remember! We look forward to sponsoring more fun events like this in the future.

Barnardos

This past year we have been fortunate to work with Barnardos and donate hundreds of bedding sets and other home accessories to this worthy cause. The stock donated will help raise vital funds to maintain and develop our wide range of services for children, young people and their families.

Fabric Donations

As a company, we are making conscious efforts to be more sustainable. We alway donate fabrics to charities or local community initiatives, to ensure none of it goes to waste. We have had a long-standing partnership with Lucy at Crafty Floris who transforms any scrap fabric into wonderful patchwork blankets and cushions. 50% of funds she makes goes directly to Dog 4 Rescue. This independent dogs rescue unit provides dogs with exercise, socialisationlove and care that they need whilst waiting for their forever homes. Take a look at Lucy’s fabulous creations.
